I think this feature would be useful - I use Alpine Quest with UK OS maps / Cycle map for mountain biking and it would be useful if after you reach a way point it (or within a certain distance of one) it could automatically switch to the next waypoint.

I like the speed of scrolling the maps and zooming - no lag, well done

Yes you're right, this is a great feature that I will try to add soon. The major problem will be the determination of the right moment of the switch, but should be OK.

A first version of this feature has been included in AlpineQuest 1.0.1 available on the market.
Have in mind that this feature should be used on GPX tracks or routes, where waypoints are ordered (not necessary the case in GPX waypoints).
