-====== How to use on-board maps with AlpineQuest ? ======

-==== 1. Put on-boards maps on the device ====
-
-The easiest way to put maps on your device is using your USB cable and connecting your device to your computer as a mass storage device. On your computer, browse your device like any USB key using the file explorer.
-
-Offline maps must be put in the folder "''**/alpinequest/maps/**''" of your memory card. You don't have to create this folder which is automatically created by AlpineQuest at first startup.
-
-If you cannot locate the maps folder, you can start AlpineQuest (be sure to unlink your device first) and open the Maps Explorer. Select the Offline Maps category and have a look at the address bar at the top of the window.
-
-Depending on your device, the SD card can be differently named, so the full maps folder path in AlpineQuest can be "''**/sdcard/alpinequest/maps/**''" but also "''**/sdcard/external_sd/alpinequest/maps/**''" or something else.
-
-If you need to use another folder to store your maps, there is a setting in the AlpineQuest preferences to change the main application folder.
-
-If you get troubles using maps, be careful of the following things:
-
-  * Maps must be in the AQM format (''.aqm'' file extension) or in the QCT format (''.qct'' file extension);\\
-  * Maps must be copied in the exact AlpineQuest maps folder. This folder is created when AlpineQuest start, you do not have to create it;\\
-  * When you copy the maps from your PC, be sure that all the files have been entirely copied before removing the USB cable. Do not remove the cable before ejecting the device from your OS. You should check the file sizes when the transfer is complete.
